Econyl® Nylon
KAMPOS’ women swimwear, men swim briefs and all eyewear are produced with ECONYL® regenerated nylon. ECONYL® is produced from synthetic waste such as fishing nets from oceans, industrial plastic and other waste fabric. The production process is divided in 4 simple steps.
STEP 1
The process starts with rescuing waste, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring, and industrial plastic from oceans and landfills all over the world.
STEP 2
Through a specific regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled back to its original purity. This means that ECONYL® is product performance are exactly as virgin nylon.
STEP 3
ECONYL® regenerated nylon is processed into yarn, which is used as a base for our unique textile fabrics.
STEP 4
Each product is then designed, produced and packed with obsessive attention to detail by our artisans in Northern Italy. There are no metal parts on our products, they have been replaced with wood and pearls.
