Our Commitment
Sustainability is not just a fancy word to us! It’s at the essence of our brand and culture. It’s an everyday commitment we promise to our customers and our planet. We believe in creating a world with a conscience now and for future generations.
KAMPOS is putting our obligation to be a sustainability leader into action in four ways:
– Zero-Plastic Policy: We do not use any single-use plastics anywhere in our products or packaging.
– Conscious Design & Responsible Materials: Our designs raise awareness of overfishing and marine pollution, which threaten the Mediterranean Sea and our planet. All products are made of recycled plastic bottles, abandoned fishing nets, or other recycled nylon and/or organic fabrics.
– Recyclable Packaging: We use recycled materials for our consumer packaging. They are 100% recyclable and FSC/PEFC certified.
– Marine Ecosystem Restoration: We are an official partner of the Coral Conservation Project, an initiative launched in 2009 by Planhotel Hospitality Group and the University of Milano-Bicocca. We actively support the conservation and restoration of coral reefs in the Maldives. We also sponsor other projects in the Maldives, such as turtle rescue and plastic collection activities.

Turtles Rescue
Every day, turtles are threatened by fishing nets and other plastic abandoned in the sea. Thousands of them accidentally swallow these plastics, mistaking them for food. In some cases, they also get trapped in plastic, preventing them from diving properly. This plastic can fill the stomach of the turtle, leaving less space for nutritious food and, as a result, causing the turtle to starve. KAMPOS supports turtle rescue activities in the Maldives, carried out by biologists based in Athuruga and Thudufushi.

Plastic Collection
Biodiversity represents the richness of every form of life on our planet, with its reference unit being species—a set of organisms capable of exchanging genetic material. Species live in relationship with each other and in constant balance to ensure optimal living conditions on Earth.
This fragile balance is increasingly threatened by human activities, especially plastic pollution in the environment. KAMPOS supports several plastic collection activities in the Maldives.
